A person can go into shock for the smallest of reasons, A colleague cut her finger and it bled, her face became deathly white/blue, as the blood was withdrawing to protect the organs. By putting a plaster on the wound, and removing the blood from sight, she recovered. I myself went into shock due to peritonitis . I had to go to hospital.
